Petersham LIVING Advent Calendar Village TrailLocal residents have initiated a new festive project for 2020: The Petersham Advent Calendar Village Trail.
The project involves volunteers from 23 houses in the local community illuminating their windows with festive decorations in December. One window is ‘opened’ each day from the 1st to the 24th December. Cedar Heights will be the starting point coming through Petersham in a loop and finishing at St Peters on Christmas Eve. Those in the 23 households forming the trail will decorate and light their window starting at one specified night in December and remain lit nightly from 5pm - 10pm until 24 December. Those following the trail can choose to either do the entire trail from start to finish once it is all lit, or go out each night to see the new window. ST PETER'S CHURCH services
The history of St. Peters can be traced back over 1,200 years, making it the oldest church in the area. Of particular interest are the Georgian box pews and Captain Vancouver's grave. You can see the services at St Peter's here.
